Run2payitforward 4 mile & 8 mile Trail Races 10:00 AM Saturday November 25, 2017
Run2payitforward is in it's 7th year. It has been held at Pontiac Lake State Park, Wolcott Mill Metro park and now at Bald Mountain in Lake Orion. We started this race because we feel a passion for giving back to the community in the form of running. #powerofpositivity. Past events have collected gently used running apparel that was donated to those in need. Monetary donations have also gone to various local charities that make a difference in our community. This year we will be collecting canned food donations and toiletry items to donate to God's Helping Hands located in Rochester Hills, Michigan. We host this event at a Michigan natural facility, otherwise known as a park. For some of our participants, this is their first ever trail run - and we welcome them with open arms. For many this event challenges them not only physically but also mentally. Getting out into nature is something that we don't always make time to do but it leaves us with a feeling of where we fit into the world. We breathe in the scents, adjust our balance with every footstep and let our mind wander without having to check our email, text or tweet. It is just us and the trail. Please join us for this year's event at Bald Mountain State Park, Lake Orion, Michigan Race headquarters is located inside Bald Mountain State Park. Enter park from Greenshield Rd (dirt) East of Lapeer Rd. Park entrance is approximately .9 mile East of Lapeer Rd. Look for event signs. Registration opens at 8:30 am.
